OurPhilosophy

“We firmly believe that blending eaux-de-vie from exceptional estates gives cognac its unique character and unmatched strength. Deeply rooted in our terroir, we have chosen to craft distinct cognacs based on their origin.

Our philosophy can be summed up in one expression: ‘Single Estate Cognac’.”

The stagesof production

Single Estate Cognac represents the craft of cognac from vine to glass.
Every stage of production takes place on our estates: from vineyard cultivation and winemaking to distillation, aging, blending, and bottling.

A highly skilled team of 60 people carefully oversees each step in the production of our exceptional cognacs across all our vineyards.

Our Cognacs are distinguished by their origin, their terroir, and the expertise of each dedicated team.

Thevinyard

Vineyard work is a daily commitment, every day of the year.
Our cultivation practices are carefully managed to respect both the environment and the vineyard. Every action is thoughtfully designed to produce a wine that honors the terroir and nature. The Ugni Blanc grapes are harvested plot by plot and immediately pressed on site to preserve the aromatic qualities of the fruit.

Thanks to this mindful approach, in 2019 we achieved Level 3 High Environmental Value (HVE) certification across all our vineyards, recognizing our commitment to environmental protection—particularly through reducing herbicide use and lowering our consumption of phytosanitary products.

Anexceptional estate

A 380-hectare family estate spread across four exceptional vineyards, ideally situated on the Fins Bois, Petite Champagne, and Grande Champagne crus.

The vineyards are planted 100% with Ugni Blanc on east–west facing hills. ABK6 Cognacs are crafted from a blend of the finest lots.

Awarded “Producer of the Year” in the eaux-de-vie category in 2019 by the IWSC competition in London.

TheWine making

Winemaking is carried out on-site, and our cellars are equipped with modern facilities that allow precise temperature control, ensuring the production of outstanding distillation wines.

Thedistillation

To showcase the specialties of each terroir, every estate has its own distillery and dedicated distiller, using methods that are specific and carefully adapted. Tradition and expertise are fully applied at this stage of production.

Our distiller relies on his senses to extract the finest qualities from the distillate. Patience and precision are essential, as day after day he distills the eaux-de-vie that will eventually become Cognac.

TheAgeing

Having the space and time needed to age a cognac is a true privilege. On our estates, we have a total of around thirty cellars and some 4,000 barrels, offering a potential of approximately 3 million liters of eaux-de-vie, carefully preserved and matured.

Theblending

The Cognacs from the Francis Abécassis estates owe their international recognition to distinctive qualities that offer richness and delicacy, with a complexity that engages every sense.

In pursuit of perfect balance, our Cellar Master carefully and subtly selects the eaux-de-vie, blending different lots and their unique characteristics to achieve the desired flavor for each creation. The blend is then left to rest for several months in the large casks of our blending cellar before bottling.
